This is another flawlessly executed cue from Dave Kikel. The cue features 4 points of extraordinary Amboyna Burl into Gaboon Ebony. Each point has veneers of white/thin black/red/thin black/blue. There is a pattern of five ivory inlays in each point consisting of three dots, a four-point star, and a diamond. The butt sleeve has four mitered veneer windows with the same veneer pattern as the points. Each window has two ivory diamonds and an ivory dot. There are two ivory dots and an ivory four-point star in-between the windows. There is a ton of work in this cue for the money.
This brand new Kikel is a knock out. Ebony on Ebony with three veneers of yellow/orange/purple with two black accent veneers on both sides of the orange veneer. Each point has a one piece modified propeller style inlay with a Bloodwood dot inlaid into the center. The butt sleeve has four mitered veneer windows with the same veneer and inlay pattern as the points, and a Ivory Hoppe ring sandwiched by two silver rings. The cue has an Ivory joint and a Baby Crock embossed leather wrap that is nearly impossible to tell from real lizard.
Bois de Rose on Bois de Rose, it doesn’t get any prettier than that. This Cranberry colored Rosewood is absolutely gorgeous. 4 points with white/burgundy/aquamarine/white veneers. Each point has a unique one piece Ivory inlay that is a cross between a slotted diamond and a propeller. This inlay gives the illusion of 5 separate inlays. These inlays are repeated on a larger scale in the butt sleeve. The ringwork is segmented white phenolic rings with the burgundy and aquamarine veneers. The wrap is black real lizard. This one is for you Rosewood lovers out there.
